Notice pursuant to and for the effects of Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree 101/2018, adopting EU Regulation No. 679/2016 of 27 April 2016, “on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data

Jacob Cohen Company Spa provides the following information.

By completing the registration process for our services, users voluntarily provide their personal data to the Data Controller.

The personal data sent will be processed in compliance with the personal data protection standards established by Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, updated by Italian Legislative Decree 101/2018, adopting the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 679/2016 and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

It is optional to provide data. However, if you do not provide compulsory data (marked with an *), you will not be able to properly register and/or access services reserved for registered users.

Purpose and methods of data processing
The personal data collected during registration or subscription to our website will be processed to enable access to services and content reserved for registered users.

If the user has provided all required consents by selecting the relevant options at the time of service activation, and until such consent is withdrawn, their personal data may be processed by Jacob Cohen Company Spa for the following purposes:
-    to enter into and implement the contract relating to the purchase of goods offered;
-    to provide Jacob Cohen Company Spa services, such as newsletter subscription;
-    to allow registration to the website and access to services reserved for registered users;
-    to manage any requests submitted to our Customer Service.

Personal data submitted through the registration process for products and services may also be processed by the Company using automated tools. The Company may process this data in aggregated form, in accordance with the provisions set out by the Data Protection Authority, and under the specific exemption from consent granted by the same, for analysis and electronic processing (e.g. classifying the entire customer base into homogeneous categories by service levels, etc.) aimed at periodically monitoring the development and performance of Jacob Cohen Company Spa’s activities, guiding related communication processes, improving services and designing and implementing communication campaigns.

Jacob Cohen Company Spa adopts specific security measures to prevent data loss, unlawful use, improper handling or unauthorised access. Personal data are recorded and stored in electronic databases located in Italy. The processing of personal data provided by users may also be carried out by companies, organisations or consortia appointed as data processors pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR, which, on behalf of Jacob Cohen Company Spa, provide specific processing services or perform related, instrumental or support activities.

•    entities authorised to access personal data by law, regulations or EU legislation;
•    entities to whom the communication of data is required by law or regulation, or public authorities in the performance of their institutional duties;
The retention period for the personal data mentioned above is in line with the applicable legal provisions.

Rights of the data subject
Data subjects are entitled to request access to their personal data, as well as to have them updated, deleted or restricted, or object to their processing, if carried out in an automated manner on the basis of consent or for the performance of the contract.
The data subject is entitled to revoke consent (for the parts established by the regulation) at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent provided prior to revocation.
The data subject is entitled to lodge a complaint with the Privacy Authority pursuant to Art. 77 of EU Regulation 679/2016.
